Business Coaches: What Can They Offer?
Business coaching is all about helping you put your best foot forward so that your business is more driven, noticeable and profitable. Sometimes we all need help in deciding how to use information to our utmost advantage. At times, someone else can help point us in the right direction so we can make the right decisions. A business coach will help keep us on track and we always need concentration and inspiration.
The International Coach Federation has been charged with a conflict of interest in that it both certifies business coaches and accredits business schools. To date the Federation has not responded to the charges. There are other equally-fine organizations, however, which do steer clear of this conflict by either supplying certification systems for business coaches or giving authorization to training organizations for coaches, but not both. In Europe the European Coaching Institute provides recognition for coaches. The European Mentoring and Coaching Council, on the other hand, takes care of accrediting associations and organizations.
The international Association of Coaches and the Association for coaches are both included in the international networking. They both offer a certification system for business coaches. The Worldwide Association of Business Coaches provides a certification program and is also starting an accreditation process for business coach training programs.
More than seven organizations are involved in coaching in addition to the International Association of Career Coaches. These include groups organized at the international and regional level such as the International Consortium for Coaching in Organizations and the Australasian Institute of Professional Coaches. Others organize along creative, religious, or professional lines.
Business coaches can recommend appropriate resources for people at various levels on the corporate ladder. With a coach people have seen their profits double, enjoyed more personal satisfaction, added free time to busy schedules, and learned how to handle problems more skillfully. Coaches help people understand the need for setting priorities and increase their self-motivation. By learning the skills to make changes, you'll be able to transform yourself into a new person with totally new productive attitudes.
Remember to look to your coach for help. He or she is there to help you face your issues, seek the causes and devise a strategy for resolving them and reaching your goals. Your coach will help you develop the habits it takes to attain your goals on a routine basis. As your coach guides you in the process of finding and fixing problems and obstacles you will be helped along your way toward achievement and success.
