One of the biggest industries that has sprung up over the last 10 years on the Internet is the Home Business Industry. Every day people are searching for their 'financial' paradise where they can earn pots of money and never have to leave the house. The sad fact is that most of these people will just end up even more broke and disenchanted, in fact the average percentage of failures in home business opportunities is approximate 97%. Below are some of the various reasons this figure is so catastrophically high.
Most of the business opportunities on the Internet do not take account of the fact that most of the people looking for these opportunities have no business experience and also very little knowledge of the Internet and how things work. Basically they are set up to make money for those who know the business and not the inexperienced punter. Unless you are an experienced Internet Marketer you should avoid these at all cost. All that will happen is you will make money (once) for someone else and then you'll quickly become disheartened when you don't see the instant results often promised and be looking for another program within a month like a bee hopping from flower to flower shedding money as you go. You have to do more research and check into what support you are likely to get, if any, before spending any of your hard earned.
More and more people are catching on to the fact that you can use the Internet to check out and research into any of these online home business opportunities. Simply type into a search engine the 'Opportunity name' and then the words 'review' and 'scam' or 'success' and you are sure to uncover lots of opinions on your prospective business. Be sure not to take any one opinion too seriously. Some people are 'cold water pourers' and will knock ANY business opportunities whether they have tried them or not, but if everybody is saying the same thing about it then you can be fairly sure that this could be one to stay away from.
Too many people believe the hype and clever copy that most business opportunity web sites use and actually think they are going to sign up and immediately makes lots of money without learning anything or doing any work. Believe me this is not going to happen, well, if you do happen to join one, do nothing, and you make lots of money then please get in touch. (I'm not holding my breath,) All these opportunities give you a replicated web site to promote. When you first get it this is EXACTLY like a tiny island with a shop on it in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. Nobody will see the shop and therefore nobody will even be able to buy anything from your shop even if they wanted to. You will never be able to get this page high up in the search engines because there are hundreds more exactly like and the search engines are clever enough to know this so forget that. You will have to find other ways of getting your web site in front of people's eyes. There are many ways of achieving this BUT you have to learn some stuff.
Be very careful what actual product the home based business is selling. Too many people disregard the actual product and just focus on how much money they are being told they can make and this is very dangerous. All the magic pills and potion opportunities out there always seem to be able to suck people in. It's only when they end up with a garage full of the stuff they realize what a mistake they made. Try to avoid this. Also we are not all salesmen. Naturally having a business means you have to sell something yes? But we can't all be great on the phone and we can't all write persuasively so how do we overcome that obstacle? Another reason for people failing is the low price ticket item. Eventually you (or your partner) are going to convince yourself that it's not worth it. All you did was get yourself another (poorly paid) job.
There are some very good reasons why many home-based businesses will fail. Make sure you research any business opportunity thoroughly and always check to see if you are going to get any kind of support and help from above. This will separate the good opportunities from the ones you are bound to fail in if you're inexperienced in online businesses. Get out of the idea that it's going to be easy, or a 'no work' opportunity. This is just not going to happen so try to get under a leader who can guide you properly.
