Good management skills are especially important in today's day and age. Good management skills are critical to ensuring a project is completed on time and within budget. This is true whether it is a large, complex project involving millions of dollars and hundreds of people or if it is only involving a small budget and a few people.
Two of the occupations in which excellent project management is highly-critical are engineering and construction. Projects undertaken by companies in these fields require a great deal of coordination between hundreds of skilled trades workers it takes to build complex, multi-faceted structures such as airplanes, hospitals, and bridges.
