Network Marketing Has A Spiritual Side To It
If you contemplate on Network Marketing (I mean authentic marketing through relationship referal and direct selling, not like the many money programs out there), you will notice that it has many spiritual components to it. Chrisitanity and authentic Network Marketing have many similarities.
For example:
1. You have to build relationships with the people you are thinking of bringing into your business as well as with your downline if you want long term success in Network Marketing.
Those who just want to bring large amounts of people into their businesses don't really care much about helping others meet their goals, only on making money off of them. If a person senses that you are trustworthy, and that you are interested in helping them achieve their goals, they will stay with you.
2. Network Marketing is all about effectively multiplying yourself, your time and your money.
By helping those in our downlines how to be successful and how to grow their businesses, our businesses grow too and we build a long term income. Whether or not they work, we cannot control, but we can certainly inspire and show them how to build their organizations. Christianity also is all about effectively reproducing our time and resources.
Jesus who was the Master, administered to his disciples the task of going out and reproducing more disciples.
Isn't that what we're doing in Network Marketing too?
Finding a few good 'workers', teaching them the business of recruiting and building other leaders and continuing to multiply this in our businesses. By teaching and training your downline, you're not doing all the work and your business grows exponentially.
As we create a community where others also become teachers, more of our time is freed up and consequently, more and more people in our downlines can take on more responsibilities.
Teaching requires being in tune with your downline's needs so that you can fill in that gap. What is the main problem they are having in growing their business? Help them succeed. Isn't that what Jesus does with his followers? He meets his followers needs by teaching them and providing everything they need in his word (spiritual food) to live the holy life he wants them to live.
The church also is like this - people go there to learn more about God, to get trained in how to live the holy life in all areas of their lives and for friendship and encouragement.
We should be good sponsors and equip them with the right knowledge and skills so that they can effectively build their businesses. On top of good training, our downlines need to be provided with an environment where they are spurred on to higher heights, to achieve greater things and to be recognized and appreciated for their achievements.
Doing these things will surely help them make money, but (that's right!), will grow our businesses too. Like the old saying says, "I prosper myself, by helping you prosper".
3. If you truly want to grow a successful six figure income through the vehicle of Network Marketing, then you'll definitely need some faith and patience for your journey.
Rejection is one thing that comes with the package and the one thing that many Network Marketers do not know how to handle. As a result, they fail in their home based businesses. They tend to move on to another opportunity or call it quits when they don't get immediate results.
Building a stable Network Marketing business will take faith in how it all works and a lot of patience as it starts to build momentum and flourishes.
So how does all this relate to Network Marketing having a spiritual component to it?
First, the Christian Faith is all about truly helping and serving others. It's not about having a secret agenda that will benefit me.
It's true, we are working in Network Marketing to make money for ourselves, but our attitudes and spirits have to be right. It's more like servanthood marketing.
If we are involved in Network Marketing just for the money, it will be reflected in what we say and do when we deal with our prospects and downlines. People can sense when their success is important to us.
Second, even Jesus required help in making the gospel widely known. He formed a group of twelve men and trained them on all aspects of the faith so that they could go out and find other follwers of Jesus.
Because those twelve men took the message to the world, lived as Jesus taught them and taught others how to follow Jesus too, the gospel has spread like a virus and is known throughout the whole world.
There's no difference with Network Marketing. Recruiting 100 people is not necessary to build a large business. If we use wisdom in selecting 5 - 10 people to work closely with, they will all learn the same things and they will teach others how to do the same things so that eventually, we will see movement and growth in our organizations.
Creating leadership and multiplying that leadership throughout our organizations just as Jesus did with his twelve leaders is what it's all about.
Third, "If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you could move mountains" is a principle that Jesus taught and that Napoleon Hill also wrote about. Today, many authors have written books on how important it is to think positively.
It's very unlikely that we will have any success in Network Marketing if we are thinking negatively. Thinking positively will help you achieve great things. Negative thinking will only destroy your vision and keep you in the rut.
I could keep on talking about the ways Network Marketing and the Christian faith parallel each other, but I would have to write a book.
The point is this: Network Marketing is not a one man show. It's all about building long term relationships, having business integrity and treating others with the same respect you would want to receive. It's all about self development and personal growth.
It's impossible to grow a successful Network Marketing business without the proper mindset, self-discipline and training. There are no plateau's either. We are constantly being challenged to higher and higher ground!
